Hydraulic winches in stainless steel, made to fit the existing installation
AS SCAN has built three hydraulic winches for R161 Christina-Michelle. The winches are made of stainless steel and fit the existing installation on board, with plenty of pulling power and flexibility for everyday work on deck.
The three SW 21GM winches are driven by hydraulic HTGM 21 motors with a built-in brake and 2-speed function. With two speeds, the crew can adjust the pace to the job at hand. Each winch pulls around 8 tonnes, has a drum diameter of Ø355 mm and runs at 250 bar.
The winches are built to the dimensions of the old ones, just with drum flanges that are 15 mm larger in diameter. That way, they fit the space on board.
