Grovford Mekaniske Verksted (GMV) has in collaboration with Northern Offshore Service (NOS) developed the future Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV), which combines high energy efficiency and fuel savings. Energizer is designed and built by GMV and the 39-meter long Hybrid Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) is now delivered to NOS and has set its course home to Sweden. Thereafter it sails towards its first job in England.
This new generation of CTV is installed with batteries that can be charged on land and is also prepared to charge the batteries from a wind park. This new green vessel is the first step towards an electrified CTV fleet, and we are proud to be a part of it with our steering gear system.
