Our Role in Power to X Projects
AS SCAN handles installation, fabrication and coordination in Power to X projects. We have experience from technically advanced Power to X plants and are typically involved from early planning through to on-site execution.
Our capabilities include:

- Fabrication of steel structures and piping
- Mechanical installation
- Process equipment assembly
- On-site coordination
We work closely with the other parties involved and also bring experience from a range of other technically demanding industrial projects in Denmark and internationally.
What is Power to X?
Power to X is a technology that converts electricity from renewable energy sources into other energy carriers such as hydrogen, green ammonia or Power-to-Liquid products. Interest in Power to X technology is growing alongside the green transition, and new plants are being established across Europe – including in Denmark.
Power to X Plant Installation
Large Power to X projects typically involve multiple technical disciplines and suppliers that need to work together as one integrated solution. We handle installation, mechanical assembly and on-site coordination across all project phases.
A Power to X plant usually consists of several process areas – electrolysis, cooling systems, process equipment, piping and mechanical installations. With many contractors and suppliers on site at the same time, coordination is critical throughout the project.
We are involved at every stage – from planning to final execution on site.

Power to X plants bring together many different technologies and systems that need to function as a whole. We work with installation and integration of:
