AS Scan have produced capstans for decades, in a wide range of design, size and capacity. We are able to supply anchor capstans, mooring capstans and a combination of both. All capstans can be electrically and hydraulically driven.
Our anchor capstans are used to pull in rope and chain, either simultaneously or separately. AS Scan can supply an anchor capstan for a wide variety of anchor chain. They can be placed horizontally or vertically, according to needs, and handle one or two chains at the same time. The anchor capstans can also be delivered with chain stoppers.
AS Scan mooring capstan is a permanent structure used for boat or ship mooring when reaching a port or dock. Our range of capstans meets the demands for safe mooring operations. In addition, our equipment is designed to minimize wear of ropes and cables, which helps prevent accidents due to breakage of mooring lines.
If needed, our capstans can be constructed for specific needs such as design, size, capacity and surface treatment.
