Power-to-X construction started

On the west coast of Denmark, the first sod has now been turned in the new and ground-breaking PtX project. It is Skovgaard Energy, Vestas and Topsoe who are behind the project. They have teamed up to build complete new facilities, which will convert surplus electricity from wind turbines into green ammonia, which can be used as fuel for the maritime industry.

The start of construction was celebrated with the first sod being laid by Jørgen Skovgaard from Skovgaard Energy and Lemvig Municipality's mayor Erik Flyvholm. The PtX plant, which is the first of its kind in the world, differs by being based exclusively on green energy sources.

AS SCAN, together with Tjæreborg Industri A/S, will be responsible for the design, manufacture and installation of pipe systems and steel structures.
