Anchor winches, capstan and chain stoppers undergo function testing in Hvide Sande ahead of delivery to one of the yard's newbuilding projects
A new delivery of hydraulic deck equipment is on its way from AS SCAN to Aas Mek. Verksted in Norway. The delivery includes hydraulic anchor winches, auxiliary winches, capstan and chain stoppers for one of the three newbuilding projects AS SCAN is supplying deck equipment to.
Before leaving the factory in Hvide Sande, the equipment undergoes thorough testing. The images show one of the hydraulic anchor winches during testing, where brakes, couplings and hydraulics are checked, among other things, before the winch is packed and prepared for transport. The testing in Hvide Sande ensures the equipment is ready for installation on arrival at the yard, allowing the construction process to continue without unnecessary delays.
Aas Mek. Verksted specializes in the design and construction of live fish carrier vessels. The delivery continues the ongoing collaboration between the yard and AS SCAN on deck equipment for new vessels.
