AS SCAN has received an order for a steering gear for Moen Marin's exciting new project, the NabWork 2612 HYB. The vessel is a single-hull, multi-purpose service vessel constructed of steel. It has been designed to be used for various aquaculture operations and is dimensioned for heavier operations. The vessel's equipment is composed of high-quality, tested products.

Propulsion

The standard NabWork 2612 HYB is delivered as a plug-in-hybrid, setting a new standard in the industry with its environmentally conscious design. It is powered by two Danfoss Editron Permanent T4000 electric engines, each offering a performance of 809 kW. The vessel's battery storage system has a capacity of 2068 kWh.

 

Brunvoll and AS SCAN collaboration

Brunvoll has delivered the gear and propeller system includes a CP propeller with a nozzle of 2700 mm diameter and a reduction gear. Further, Brunvoll's BruCon system is a complete control, monitoring, and automation solution for main propulsion equipment, including azimuth systems.
