Designed for a 50-meter vessel
We're excited to announce that Fitjar Mek. Verksted has entrusted AS SCAN with a significant order for a complete steering system, including rudder arrangement.
The equipment is to be installed on a 50 meter salmon stun and bleed vessel built at Fitjar Mek. Verksted (FMV), located in Norway. This partnership between FMV and AS SCAN signifies a strengthening of ties between the two entities and a mutual commitment to make quality solutions to the maritime industry.
The comprehensive package to be delivered by AS SCAN includes:
- Steering control system
- 2 pcs. steering gears
- 2 pcs. double power packs
- 2 pcs. complete rudder arrangement with NACA profile
Rudder stock and liners machined at AS SCAN
We have now started manufacturing parts for the rudder arrangement including a rudder stock with a stainless steel liner. The rudder stock has been CNC machined out of fine-grain steel and the liner is made of stainless steel.
